[nflug] xmms re-read directory

I know this may not be the answer you want...

I use xmms on winders and linux.  I never thought of xmms actually
automatically scanning a "start-up folder" (sounds invasive and obtrusive and
very MS).  What I do is the aforementioned add-folder.  Of course you will end
up with duplicates.  But a simple sort and then Rem-Misc has an option to
remove duplicates.

(Shift-Delete) SO go ahead and add that folder evertime you add a song then
Shift delete to remove duplicates...

Check the preferences - they offer some ways to alter the handling of
playlists.

Also if you setup a Media Library you may get more options to add local folders
- I never tried it but it's an option available to you.
