You can always use "cdrecord -v -speed=sp -dev=x,y,z -driveropts=burnproof
image.iso
- remove the "-driveropts=burnproof" if you don't have a drive with burnproof
capability.
- replace sp with the speed you want to burn at up to the limit of your drive
- replace x,y,z with the proper device path (use cdrecord -scanbus to get the
listing of detected devices so you use the right path)
cdrecord -scanbus on my home box (firewire devices show up as SCSI)

so to use the regular CDRW burner I'd use "-dev=1,4,0" to use the
DVD/everything burner I'd use "-dev=2,1,0"
