MythTV ??? Which tuner?

Hmm-- I'll look into the bttv module opts when I get a chance. I'm getting the same thing with the perl tuner that came with the ivtv driver, though.

I was looking for that file, but it's been so long I couldn't remember it.
I've had to fight with my Avermedia TV Studio Pro tuner settings, but I
was fairly certain Hauppage was consistent in the tuners they used.

ivtv-FAQ.html in the ivtv source suggests 'modprobe tuner type=2', but
*does* say that tuner is part of the bttv driver. I'd be surprised if it
wasn't whatever tuner corresponds to type 2, but of course who knows what
they threw on your card...

Further down the document though, there is this entry, which may help:

Why is my captured MPEG just static or noise ?

A capture of just static or noise is an indication that you are
capturing from the tuner but the tuner is not tuned to any particular
channel. Use one of the utilities in the driver source /utils
directory to set the tuner to a valid channel.

Another problem you may have is that your input source for the card is set
to the composite video input and not the coax in. You can try playing with
the test_ioctl util provided with the ivtv source to change the input.
More documentation can be found in the html faq mentioned above.
