Castle Wolfenstein is stil my current favorite and with ID releasing a FIRST
Person binary to allow it to run in Linux Natively WOW!

However before the binary 1st person was only available via Wine or Windows :-P

In fact on my non windows boxes I had to use WINE to install RTCW and then
copy the map files to the actual LInux install directory.

I use Codeweavers wine because it's so darned easy to use, and I find that it
works with apps that the daily or stable builds wont work well with.
