[nflug] PPTP Connection under Debian 4

Hi all, in reference to the instructions at http://pptpclient.sourceforge.net/howto-debian.phtml , I get to step 4 of the hand configuration and am not able to create a $TUNNEL file.  I was wondering if anyone else running Debian 4 has had any luck with what this page is trying to do?
