I too suggest that u check out the monitors first hand, thats how I knew 
that the widescreen format wouldn't work for me.
Also I saw a Samsung syncMaster 204B that I eventually bought.

I disagree with Olkowski, however. I have two triniton 21" flat crts, 
and even though the black may be blacker,
 the other advantages of lcd's outweigh  the disadvantages.
Why do u think lcd's are so popular

Iwould only use crt's if I had a specific need for their advantages 
(refresh rate and blackness)

Like I said before, check out the 20" Samsung syncMaster 204B. U 
wouldn't be disapointed
