What I mean is this. With vonage etc.. you connect
your phone to their adapter, yes you can use an
adapter to connect multiple phones. But, they all
ring, just like a regular phone line connect to
multiple jacks. With others you use it like any
company PBX. Each person can have their own extension
and vmail. You can create hunt groups etc. If a call
comes for the kids it only rings their line. You
create press 1 for mom or dad 2 for johnny 3 for
michele ..... By the way their is a hack to get
sunrocket to work with asterisk so you can do this.
Really opens up the service.
