They simply do with asterisk (or equivalent PBX) connected to a voice T-1.
All you need is a T-1 card from digium. No different than a small company's
phone lines.


In fact vonage supposedly uses asterisk themselves. I'd be surprised if 60%
of the top VOIP providers did not use asterisk

I wonder how companies like vonage tie into the phone company ...can
anyone do this... say I wanted to tie my VOIP into the phone comapny??
