[nflug] USB Mouse erratic bahaviour

This is my biggest problem with optical!

I have a faux wood desk and the laminate is too 'shiny' plastic for the sensor - it goes nuts until I put a piece of paper or mouse pad or anything under it.

Yes and they also don't work very well on shiny surfaces (light reflects 
all over misguiding the mouse).
