I got everything working on the Epson CX3200 (inkjet color) 

Single page fax - but with hylafax and Xsane I can do multipage faxing (got the old 56K modem working fine).  Its USB - gets detected with no troubles.

Color - inkjet prints fine.  Epson has good tools under linux too for checking levels, testing/recalibrating inkjets etc.

It's an older model but I'm pretty happy so far with Epson (always loved HP - but definetly an Epson fan now!)
