Good points. As I was about to reply to you, I checked into her 
squirrelmail configs deeper and low and behold, she had created some 
addresses in her squirrelmail login and guess what? The offending 
address, has a missing bracket! Can I get a big WTF??!!
All I can imagine is she copied and pasted it in and it didn't catch or 
lost the one bracket during the process.
