gnome 2.12 menu editor/smeg

I noticed after upgrading to gnome 2.12 my menu editor
does not have the file edit help toolbar like the smeg
did. Mine only has a menu toolbar.  I know some of
these programs are under devolpment but is the menu
editor program for gnome not finished? Or am I missing
something. Just seems there is alot of functionality
missing in it.Smeg is a hell of alot better..
