Am I sensing a little frustration? lol. Your situation has a very easy 
fix. "yum install kernel-devel" should fix all that ails your compile 
problems (other than missing packages of course). You don't need a full 
kernel source tree. If you want one, that's easy enough too. It explains 
it all on the release notes--->

and for an easy place to find the kernel src rpms for the different 
kernels, find them here---->
http://download.fedora.redhat.com/pub/fedora/linux/core/updates/4/SRPMS/

Let me know if you still have trouble compiling after installing the 
kernel-devel package.
