sata/ide hardware raid compatable

Anyone use any decent hardware sata/ide raid cards
that are compatable with fedora 3? I have been reading
about the LSI logic cards and they show compatability
with Redhat 9.0. you think this would work with Fedora
3 ?  Also have looked at the 3Ware Escalade 7506
Series too and that compatable with 9.0.. Looking to
set up box with 0+1 raid for server.
