PS/2 ---> USB Keyboard Mouse Problems

In XFree86 config you might have to add something like

Section "InputDevice"
  Identifier   "Mouse[2]"
  Driver       "mouse"
  Option       "Device" "/dev/input/mice"
  Option       "Protocol" "IMPS/2"
  Option       "ZAxisMapping" "4 5"

and 

Section "ServerLayout"
    Identifier "layout1"
    InputDevice "Keyboard1" "CoreKeyboard"
    InputDevice "Mouse1" "CorePointer"
    InputDevice  "Mouse[2]" "AlwaysCore"
    Screen "screen1"
