Funny you mentioned this: I just did a video card fan replacement 
Saturday for the same exact thing.

CompUSA has a replacement fan/heatsink combo for GPUs available (made by 
BFG). I'd recommend you take your card in with you in a static bag to 
compare the standoff locations. It's a little pricey ($20) but I was 
able to pop my old one off and have the new one installed in a minute.
