Nvidia based video card fans

I have an Nvidia based video card with an onboard fan - it's gold with a
housing that is affixed to the card.  The fan is attached to the top of the
housing.  The fan is dead and that leads to very quick video errors!

I tried to loosing the fan but it refuses to turn at all now.  Can these fans
be replaced?  It looks very proprietary the top of the housing is the holder
for the fan so I can't just swap the fan blades etc.

Anyone have experience with these and replacing this fan?
