a good thread for dvd burning

A lot of people talking about dvd burning there. I was curious as to
what everyone else is doing to burn DVD's? Seems to be easy enough to
burn a smaller DVD using K3B, but does anyone know of a equivalent to
dvdshrink for linux? or something that would split the dvd in two
easily?
