Linux on an old notebook?

Well, my first thought was of one of the peanut linux
distros, but those wouldn't offer the GUI you're
probably looking for. Problem is, I've had nothing but
trouble with the guis on anything less then a
pentium3, for some reason. This is probably a
configuration error, but who knows?
