Slackware and cd problems

I've had that happen a time or two ... The solution is usually the boot/root
diskette combo. Pick the kernel you need, make the boot/root pair, and
>usually< this works.
Another thing, which kernel did you install? Slackware has a goodly selection
of precompiled kernels, and I have (more than once!) picked a kernel to
install that did not support my hardware, while the install kernel did.
There's a file called BOOTING.TXT in the root of the first install CD that
gives these and other pointers. As it seems that the install CD will boot on
your system, you should be able to find it fairly easily.
BTW, did you order the CD's? I tried to download them, but Slackware is using
Bittorrent, and it seemed like way too much work to try to get it to work w/
Adelphia's Powerlink setup. All the U.S. mirrors seem to have gone that
route. I ended up getting the iso's from Australia! :-/
Now, to try a Slackware update!
