This looks to be what is wrong. Just did a new install on a co-worker's
box the other night, and noticed that even though I specified RPM to be
installed, it did not include the rpm-build package by default. Took a
look at my friend's box as you listed, and sure enough the rpm-build
package is not installed.
I still hope to make it up to one of the meetings one of these Sunday's..
Wish I could just get weekends off from work. Due to low seniority, I get
one of those 'lovely' schedules.. fortunately I work 4 10 hour days, bad
thing is that I only get '(Wednes|Thurs|Fri)day's off. Due to choose
schedules again soon, maybe I will get extremely lucky and actually get one
day off during the weekend.
