multiple port network cards

i've used the quad ethernet cards in sun servers. they are cool little
beasts, depending on the OS and the switchs you're using you can trunk
or glomb the ports together to make them 1 or 2 vitrual interfaces, 2 or
4 times the throughput. there's a company, antares who makes quad
gigabit cards for solaris systems.
