Sun solaris is offering their os/systems free download does anyone know
how to install Solaris 8 for intel. I downloaded the binaries and but I
dont know what else to do. Thei site dosent have much info. Is there
anyone that is willing to teach me Unix and Linx? I am looking for some
classes at a resonable price because I am paying for college right now
majoring in CIS at ECC but they dont teach anything Unix based.

HP-CDE is HP's version of the popular CDE XWindow Manager:

Most UNIX's offer GUI programs to help accomodate most common
configurations. It's when you have to get into the nitty gritty that
things become severely unfriendly.

Then again, older versions of Solaris were always unfriendly :)

here's a site on HP-UNIX with tours & guides for configuring a HP-UNIX
box, along with generic Sys admin tasks:

Inside some of us is a thin person struggling to get out, but
they can usually be sedated with a few pieces of chocolate cake.
