mailing list unavailability 15 June after 6:00pm

Unless your TTLs are higher than 27 hours, add the new MX record with a
lower preference now, and then when you unplug the old gateway, all the
mail will go to the lower preference (new) machine.  After the old box
is removed and you are sure everything is working on the new box, remove
the older, higher preference MX records.

hello all,

the mailing list may be unavailable for a brief period of time tomorrow
evening starting at 6:00 pm. there should be only a brief moment of down
time while i unplug one sendmail gatway and plug another in, keep your
fingers crossed. once the new machine is up i'll be testing sending
messages to the list, these can you can disregard. the big wait will be
waiting for dns to propigate the MX change.
