Apt for Mandrake

Hey. Now there's a version of apt for Mandrake! It appears to be
experimental, but I sure want to try it! I found it at ftp.nluug.nl
and tried to install it on 9.1.

Got the dependency blues! This is what happened:

[root at localhost installs]# rpm -i apt*
error: failed dependencies:
        libapt-pkg-libc6.3-5.so.3.3 is neede
        librpm-4.2.so is needed by apt-0.5.5
        librpmdb-4.2.so is needed by apt-0.5
        librpmio-4.2.so is needed by apt-0.5
[root at localhost installs]#

I don't know enough to know if I should try to get these packages or not. I don't want to install stuff that might break my system. I need to be sure rpm will work (which is 3 of them). Th other looks apt specific, so I'm not so woried about it.

Help appreciated.

Joe
