I just moved my middle daughter into UB this weekend. Fired up her laptop,
did the XP update and tried to install the patch from Microsoft update for
"lovesan" and related wormies. @#$% worm infected her computer AS I
DOWNLOADED the fix!! Cannot block the relevant ports from XP!! I freakin'
hate Windows!

Anyway, free XP / OfficeXP or not, I'd be interested in fixing the problem by
low-leveling her HD and putting UBLinux on it. My oldest daughter used GNOME
/ StarOffice all through college, simply because she didn't know anything
about any GUI. She had no trouble except she thought it ran kind of slow on
the 486/100 she had. Geez, it was the FASTEST computer in the house 'till
last year!

BTW, very glad to see the Linux Documentation Project mirrored at UB again!
Anybody here who doesn't have it prominantly bookmarked needs to!
