So you save all your public and private keys for the backup server and
reinstalled them?

Subject: [nflug] ssh & host keys

Hello All,
I just redid my backup server where I have alot of remote connections
coming in to rsync data with key based authentications. I recreated
things (copy .ssh) of users, etc.. so that the authentication is still
cool but the remote connections are failing because it's saying the
remote host id has changed and wondering about a man in the middle
attack. I have all the old data saved and I assumed all id info for ssh
would be in the relative .ssh folders (known hosts, etc). What am I
missing here? If I have to fix all the remote connections, it would be a
major pain. Advice? TIA
