[nflug] Recording audio output

I'm using kubuntu gutsy.  When I click on the speaker icon in my panel,
it brings up kmix.  Everything works fine.

When I play a flash audio from a website, the audio shows up and is
controlled by kmix (the pcm slider).

When, at the same time, I run

arecord -c 2 -f dat -v -v fubar.dat

I get a very large wav file with nothing but crosstalk background noise
on it.

Is there a way to get arecord (or something similar) to capture this or
other audio streams from the web?
