Hello list.  My name is Neil.  I live in Lockport and have been using
Linux exclusively since Debian Sarge went stable.  Now running Ubuntu
Feisty on a new Dell.  (This feels like an AA meeting. :P )
  I have been lurking on this list for quite some time but never had any
reason to speak up.  Guess I have a reason to now. I wanted to ask that
anyone who uses Ubuntu join the NY Local Community Ubuntu team at
https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-newyork .  It was just set up early this
year and we would like to expand our membership.
  We are currently seeking non-profit status with the state, as well as
trying to organize a conference tentatively scheduled for July 2008.

businesses that would like to be a sponsor for this conference.  If you
own/work for any business that would be interested, please contact me or
