You can get RHEL 5 without the support contract for free... it's known
as CentOS 5, and is RHEL 5 without the RedHat branding.  I use it at
work almost exclusively (I also have debian, slackware, *BSD and other
machines), and everything you need RHEL 5 for, CentOS 5 supports.  It is
built on the RHEL 5 SRPMS.
