In my case, I was installing the java directly from sun which is not
available in my repositories yet, so I couldn't use adept or synaptic
(or at least I don't know how with divert, etc.) And, somehow, doing so
broke Limewire which could no longer find java until I did the sudo
update-alternatives --config java .
