That implies working, but NOT NECESSARILY bootable...

for a SCSI card to be bootable it has to have a bios
that supports booting. (which displays info  beforehte
system begins it's bootups sequence)

On many cards you can TURN OFF the boot bios ability
from the scsi card's configuration.
