After two weeks of hard work, we're mostly ready to release the most
powerful Linux LiveDVD on the Earth! Don't you believe that, just read
*some* of the new enhancements and fixes presented below:
1. Linux Kernel 2.6.19 enhanced with:
1.
*The first Live implementation of the new Kernel
Virtual Machine supporting both Intel and AMD
architectures (patches backported from 2.6.20-rc2)*
2. Mactel enhancements, like better MacBook, EFI, IR Remote and
CPU thermistor support
3. PATA over LIBATA with some fixes backported from 2.6.20 tree
(no more hdparm issues!)
4. new devices support, like bcm43xx over PCI-Express and some
new ATI IXP revisions
5. IPW3945 support
6. Fuse 2.6.1
2. X.Org 7.2 RC3 with all the things belonging to that:
1. better LCD/CRT Display detection
2. Really improved Intel Graphics Cards support
3. Much more stable ATI Open Source Drivers
3. Improved Installer:
1. 6th SENSE Upgrade funcionality that let you keep your
software by managing dependencies automatically
2. A lot of bug fixes
4. New NetworkManager stack that supports a lot of wireless cards
much better
5. Beryl 0.1.4 with a nearly perfect OpenGL autodetection and
configuration
6. A ton of bug fixes
This, once again, confirms the leadership of Sabayon Linux in the
"Cutting Edge" area. And, we're really proud to say: "we are the
first!". So, just be patient... we're working for you Cool
It's available in both a 32 bit x86 & a 64 bit flavors.
As is tediously predictable, the last line has to be:
"Of course, the bit torrent is available at linuxtracker.org"
Happy New Year,
John
