[nflug] I love/hate Linux

I just "fixed" my wifi problem and got closer on my modem problem.  
(Kubuntu Dapper)

All I did was choose the ... .23 kernel when I booted instead of the ... 
.27 one (in grub).  Magically wifi just works and a couple of modem 
modules load (slamr and unget winmodem (or soemthing like that)).

Of course, when I boot the .27 kernel, which is the one I was trying to 
start with, I don't see any errors at all about wifi.  It just says I 
don't have any devices when I try to run anything like wireless 
assistant or iw....
At least the modem modules complain and don't load (they're specific for 
.23).

Now, at least I can go to a hot spot and update things- when I can get 
adept to work again.
