[nflug] KDE 3.5.1 Mime Error

I upgraded my kde version to 3.5.1 using slackware packages found on
linuxpackages.net, however I kept getting the same mime errors over
and over again. I then downloaded konstruct and used that to build kde
3.5.1 on my system. Well the errors are still there, anyone ever run
into this (errors below)

Could not find mime type
application/octet-stream

Then

No Mime Types Installed
