How was it installed?  if via RPM, run "rpm -e wine",  if gentoo run "emerge -C
wine",  if debian  run "dpkg -r wine"

If it was installed by a tarball,  then you can SOMETIMES run "make uninstall"
as root in the source directory used to install it,  but this doesn't always
work. as not all packages include a make uninstall.
