Depending on your install, you may need to run firefox as root. My
"check for updates" option was grayed out. I ran it as root, clicked the
"check for updates" option, it did a very quick update, said to restart,
I did. Then I looked at the about, it hadn't changed and the update was
still running, I clicked the "check for updates" (still running as
root), and it said that the partial update failed so it was downloading
a complete update, I clicked next, it finished, all good, firefox 1.5.0.1.
