[nflug] amarok, redhat and mp3's

Has anyone had any success getting amarok to play mp3's on a Redhat 
system (RHEL3 here).  I was reading the article about it the other night 
in this month's LJ, and figured I'd give it a try.  I can play mp3's 
currently with XMMS, but amarok keeps complaining that the helix engine 
doesn't support it, and I'll be damned if I can find any info on that 
(other than helix playing mp3's is supported by RealPlayer, which I also 
have the latest version installed).
