I don't have my old e-mails to thank the people who helped me out, so I'll thank the list, and add some extra stuff. I downloaded the lastest greatest bios firmware installed it, but was still having problems, it turned out it was the system backplane that needed to be flashed, Linux is installing as I write this, so far so good.
