Need Sendmail Help!

a bunch of info I'm reading s saying to:

 

Check out the file /etc/hosts.allow & put somewhere sendmail:ALL in the
apropriate line. It should work after restarting xinetd

 

 

However it doenst make a lot of sense..is sendmai lrunning in daemon mode or
through xinetd?

Greetings, All! 

 

I'm setting up local mail on a server and I'm getting a strange permission
denied error.  

 

I went as far as to allow promiscuous relay and it still gives this error.
Anyone have some ideas?
