Cyber Source's suggestion is a good one (putting in /etc/hosts or
Windows' host file). I set up my home network to where all the machines
on it run thru a Linux gateway/router before going out to the net.
Before either of my kids' machines are allowed to access a site, it
checks to see if that site/ip address is listed as an allowed site (in a
MySQL db that my wife and I can admin via a web interface). If it's not
allowed, they're redirected the Apache server running on that box. This
way, they have to come to us to get access to the site, and we can check
it out first.
