hey bob,

i've been using sun microsystems sunray server for thin client computing 
for around 4 years and i've very happy with it. it's far superior to any 
other thin client computing solution i've used before, i was a neoware 
customer before switching to sun. the latest release, version 3 run on 
linux as well as solaris which it nice. you do need to buy sun's thin 
clients but they are relatively inexpensive or you can pick them up on 
ebay for around $50. if you buy the smart cards you can use the "hot 
desking" feature which allows you to move your session from appliance to 
appliance, all you do is plug the card into a different client.
