Dave,
I have a screen saver setup that I use from the FC2 preferences .
Would/could X11 override my selected screen saver? It kinda makes sense
because when I moved the mouse the screen "flashed" and went to this
"other" screen, but then I could do nothing but power down via the power
switch. When I tried to reboot It locked up somewhere during startup
(It was not checking the system like it would normally do when you cut
power) and I could not bring the system back up. I was able to get to
grub and I tried booting into win2k and it worked fine. I since
re-installed FC2 (I'm using it now) and it's seems to be working fine.
