We use APC's devices:

They don't appear to have serial connections though, but if you can work
with http/snmp/telnet, it might do the trick.

The topic comes up periodically on the sunhelp sunrescue list. You might
want to search their archives for info on building your own if ths price
of this or a similar device is cost prohibitive.
