I had to use a Windows machine to 'activate' my account.  Once that was 
done though, I was able to access the Admin section of the Westel modem 
(192.168.1.1) thru a browser, and configure the modem the way I wanted 
it (passes the IP thru to my Linux router, configure the NAT, etc.).
