[nflug] issues with starting a comptuer

Maybe there's still hope.

First, if you have video, but it is tinted green, check the cabling;  
either it works or it doesn't, if it works but in a weird way, it's  
probably not broken. Also, check the settings of your display itself,  
notably the color depth.

In my experience, 'touching the case and it dies'-cases are most  
always problems with power: open up the case and find ALL loose  
wires, no matter how tiny, check their shielding and if they can make  
contact with the case. You can't always see this easily, sometimes  
cables make contact through their plastic housing. So I'd suggest you  
buy some insulating tape and tape off all loose cables within the  
machine.

It sounds to me as something less fatal: a computer that dies when  
you touch it is certainly not inherently broken.
