I dont think he is asking for a secure linux. he's asking for linux as a
security tool.....

A few years ago, I was in the camp that if it was Linux, and it had to
be secure as secure can be, then Slackware was the only choice. These
days, I use Red Hat for everything. Not that I think it's more secure
than Slackware (or any other distro for that matter), but because the
security of any *nix box lies more in the hands of the admin than it
does the distro. I choose Red Hat because I'm familiar with it (been
using it since '96), and they are more reliable than a lot of the
smaller distros when it comes to fixing patches.
