icon to main menu fedora 4

ok I figured it out. I found the configure panel and
used the kde control module. There is the menu editor
that easily lets you add to the menus. I normally is
gnome as my default environment. Is there anything
like this for gnome? By this time I think they should
have it.. I notice too that most of my programs in
gnome are kde programs where can I get it to default
to the gnome programs. I have noticed this in Fedora 3
too..
