Greg
There is a UB customized version of Red Hat Linux EW3. The official
download is http://redhat.buffalo.edu/pub/ublinux/. CD's can also be
purchased at UBMicro. This distro is supported by the CIT Help Desk and
connects to a campus RHN server for updates.

We here at SENS are finishing up our version of SENS Linux based on Red Hat
EW4. If your daughter is a member of the Schools of Engineering or
Natural Sciences and Mathematics she is eligible for a copy with support
from us. If she is not a member of either of these schools she can get a
copy and updates from RHN, but no user support from SENS.

Subject: Linux at UB?

Is there an "official" UB Linux, and is it usable for students?
My daughter is attending, and says that she's forced to use Windows. Any
truth to this and any pointers on how to help her rebel? ;-) Thanks, Greg
