The book is worth purchasing as it covers many linux wireless topics. I
haven't read it cover to cover but I've browsed through and foun several
chapters I might go back to later.

The best place I found to get an Orinoco Gold card was on e-bay. 

And 9.1 was positively worth it. There was only one thing I didn't like.
They have dumped Apache 1.x in favor of 2.x. I had to redo all of my
local settings after the upgrade because I have several local
development web sites. I prefered 1.x because it is 1)stable and 2) what
is on my hosting providers platform. I think you can put Apache 1.x back
on manually, but you can't use Yast2 to interact with it.
